Brian Fagel is an Assistant Director in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and head of the Chicago Regional Office’s Public Finance Abuse Unit.� Before joining the SEC in 2010, he was a litigation partner at a Chicago law firm.� He holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, an M.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Department of English, and an A.B. from Stanford University.�
