Edwin Steenvoorden

Edwin Steenvoorden is vice president at Capgemini Nederland B.V.After graduating in economics, Edwin has held several positions in the ICT sector. Starting his career on the technical side as a programmer, systems analyst, and in support functions, he switched to commercial activities when he joined Capgemini in 1992. Since 1998, Edwin has specialized in the insurance and pensions market. As a subject matter expert, he has been actively involved in projects as well as in business development focusing on pensions, communications, package implementations and service-oriented design.In the years 2006 - 2010 Edwin has been the Head of Insurance & Pensions of Capgemini in the Netherlands. He also held the position of co-lead for the global center of excellence Insurance. As of February 2011 he is responsible for the Strategic Domain Business Analytics and Information Strategy within the sector BIM. He is a regular presenter at seminars and is a frequent contributor to specialist publications.
