Timothy G. Massad was chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission from 2014-2017. Previously, he was the assistant secretary for financial stability at the Treasury Department, where he oversaw the Troubled Asset Relief Program and the recovery of the government’s commitments to AIG.
