NEW YORK, NY (February 19, 2019)Digital Insurance, a SourceMedia brand, announced today that Steve Wozniak will deliver the keynote address at Dig|In: The Digital Future of Insurance, its annual flagship event.

Dig|In focuses on the digital transformation of the insurance industry, looking at customer-facing, middle- and back-office platforms across all lines of business. The four-year-old event is expected to attract more than 3,000 insurance industry executives to Austin, Tex., May 29 - 31, 2019.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will offer his views on a wide variety of technology topics impacting insurance today, including autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of things. He will also speak extemporaneously on topics submitted by Dig|In attendees.

“Woz” left his full-time role at Apple in 1985, but remains an employee and ambassador for the company. In recent years he’s made controversial statements about the future of A.I., and the mixed promise of autonomous vehicles, among other things. At the same time, Apple’s autonomous vehicle program has gained momentum, logging tens of thousands of miles testing self-driving cars in 2018.

“We’re excited to have Steve Wozniak join us at Dig|In as we engage the insurance industry’s most innovative minds in a vital and dynamic conversation about the future,” said SourceMedia chief executive Gemma Postlethwaite. “Steve’s critical perspective and foresight will supercharge Dig|In’s mission to advance the community of professionals transforming insurance.”
