American Banker announces the 2023 honorees for The Most Powerful Women in Banking™ Next

This annual list highlights 15 women age 40 and younger who are rising stars at their organizations and demonstrate tremendous potential to ascend to the C-Suite.

NEW YORK (PRWEB) JULY 19, 2023

American Banker, Arizent's essential resource for senior executives in financial services, has published its annual list of honorees for The Most Powerful Women in Banking™ Next initiative. Showing a true diversity of backgrounds and concentrations, about half of this year's honorees started their careers outside of banking and finance, gaining unique experience in other industries before rising through the ranks at their organizations.

This year's list features women leaders who work across nearly all lines of business including national sales, capital markets, operations and compliance. Eight of the 15 women began their careers in banking and finance, while seven of the rising leaders started in other professions, such as medical research, family practice law and the Peace Corps.

American Banker's recognition program celebrates 15 women, ages 40 years or younger, who have initiated meaningful changes at their financial institutions and are on the path to becoming C-suite leaders of tomorrow. To qualify, honorees needed to be nominated by their senior leaders or mentors who can speak to their exceptional work and leadership skills.

"While shattering stereotypes and breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry, the finalists showcase exceptional promise for the future of financial services," Mary Ellen Egan, Senior Editor of Women's Programs, says. "These individuals demonstrate that visionary minds can conquer any challenges that come their way."
