Gilmartin is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Merck & Co., Inc., a global research driven pharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, manufactures and markets innovative vaccines and medicines.Mr. Gilmartin joined Merck as President and Chief Executive Officer in June 1994 and was named to the additional position of Chairman of the Board in November 1994. Shortly after retiring from Merck in 2006, he joined the faculty at Harvard Business School where he taught in the MBA and executive education programs through 2012. Bobbi Gajwani is a Director in the Municipal Enterprise Group of Public Finance Ratings at Standard & Poors. Lisa Zuckerman joined Dignity Health in December, 2006 as Vice President, Treasury Services. Dignity Health is one of the largest health systems in the U.S., with 39 hospitals in California, Arizona and Nevada. Lisas responsibilities include management of Dignity Healths nearly $7 billion investment portfolio, as well as debt and capital structure management, and oversight of cash management functions. CHW has $4.3 billion in debt outstanding, and a swap portfolio with a notional amount of roughly $940 million.Prior to joining Dignity Health, Lisa Zuckerman spent ten years at Standard & Poors Corporation, most recently as a director in Standard & Poors San Francisco office, as health care sector leader for the western region. Lisa served on the Board of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA), and is past chair of the California Society of Municipal Analysts. Ms. Newell is Director of Compliance Management and Ethics Liaison Officer at the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority (NJEFA) responsible for developing and implementing post-issuance compliance policies and procedures.�She is a past Chair of the Advisory Committee to the IRS Divisions on Tax-Exempt and Governmental Entities and has served as a member of the Government Finance Officers Association’s Committee on Debt Management.�Prior to joining NJEFA, she engaged in the private practice of law, specializing in financing for governmental entities and conduit borrowers. Ms. Newell received her LL.M in Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law, Washington, D.C; a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law, Villanova, Pa.; and a B.A. in Mathematics from TempleUniversity, Philadelphia.
Dan Carrigg is the Legislative Director for the League of California Cities. He has over 20 years of experience working in the Legislature, for a state agency and as a legislative advocate. This is his 14th year with the League. In the past, he has served both as a Senior Consultant with the Assembly Committee on Housing and Community Development and as a Legislative Representative on state property and construction issues for the Department of General Services.
