Previous Work Experience
Chris comes to Forrester with 15 years of experience in infrastructure and process excellence. For the previous eight years, he worked with New York Life, designing and managing financial systems in its Investments group; managing the Investments service desk; and finally, as a key team member, implementing a new operating model for the technology organization as a whole. Prior to this, he managed infrastructure in advertising and public relations at Interpublic and the Public Relations Society of America, respectively.

Chris holds a Master of Business Administration in information systems from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science and writing from Sarah Lawrence College.

An Alabama native, Tuggle received his undergraduate degree from Birmingham-Southern College, an MBA from Stamford University and he graduated from The CBA Graduate School of Retail Bank Management
Dr. David E. Altig is executive vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. In addition to advising the Bank president on monetary policy and related matters, Dr. Altig oversees the Bank's regional executives and the Bank's research department. He also serves as a member of the Bank's management and discount committees. Dr. Altig also serves as an adjunct professor of economics in the graduate school of business at the University of Chicago. Prior to joining the Atlanta Fed, Dr. Altig served as vice president and associate director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He joined the Cleveland Fed in 1991 as an economist before being promoted in 1997. Before joining the Cleveland Fed, Dr. Altig was a faculty member in the department of business economics and public policy at Indiana University. He also has lectured at Ohio State University, Brown University, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Duke University, John Carroll University, Kent State University, and the University of Iowa, and in the Chinese Executive MBA program sponsored by the University of Minnesota and Lingnan College of Sun Yat-Sen University.Dr. Altig's research is primarily focused on monetary and fiscal policy issues. His articles have appeared in a variety of journals, and he has served as editor for several conference volumes on a wide range of macroeconomic and monetary-economic topics.Dr. Altig was born in Springfield, Ill., Aug. 10, 1956. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees in economics from Brown University.
Robert Finkelstein is a finance and marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Throughout his career, he has successfully collaborated with both internal and external partners to drive business strategies and he has been recognized for his ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional organizational teams. Since 2007, Robert has been structuring and developing card and banking partnership programs for Partner Advisors’ largest clients, including Fidelity Investments and AAA. He has been instrumental in driving the financial analytics around partnership deal structuring as well as optimizing financial performance by directing strategic program and product development. Partner Advisors creates, structures, and develops card, banking, and insurance products for a broad range of organizations. Prior to joining Partner Advisors, Robert ran the M&A and corporate development team at MRU Holdings, a specialty finance company that transformed the student loan industry with its directto- consumer marketing approach. Prior to MRU, Robert spent five years in the Finance organization at American Express, where he held several positions in various business units as well as on the corporate level. Before joining American Express, Robert worked for Spectrem Group, a financial services strategic consulting and M&A advisory firm. Robert majored in History while earning a BA from Columbia University and he holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.
As group executive, Global Loyalty, for MasterCard Worldwide, Nandan Mer is responsible for developing and expanding the companys suite of loyalty solutions, with a focus on enabling issuers to provide enhanced value to cardholders; and supporting merchants to attract and retain profitable consumers. Mer plays a critical role in helping MasterCards financial institution and merchant partners enhance their business relationships with MasterCard around the globe. Prior joining MasterCard, Mer spent 22 years with Citigroup, American Express & United Bank for Africa leading consumer and institutional banking businesses in locations such as Africa, China, India, Middle East, Russia and UK.
George Schmelzel joined UMB Financial Corporation in October 2006. As senior vice president and director of Credit Card Services for UMB, a $14.9 billion financial institution headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., with banking centers in seven states, George leads growth efforts for the Consumer Cards business within UMB’s footprint and nationally. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, George has held senior marketing and technology roles at several large financial institutions, including Household International, Associates Corporation of North America and First National Bank Omaha. Additionally, George has been involved with numerous industry boards and committees, including the Visa Consumer Credit Council, The Pulse Network Advisory Board, Discover’s Issuer Advisory Council, and is the past chairman of Credit Card Software’s Advisory Board. George earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from California State University, Chico, and attended the undergraduate and graduate American Banking Association (ABA) Bankcard Schools.
