Mr. Peirez leads the development and commercialization of payment product platforms that create a sustainable competitive advantage for MasterCard and its customers. The Innovative Platforms group is responsible for such MasterCard initiatives as e-Commerce, Mobile, Chip, P2P, PayPass, Transit, inControl, Orbiscom, Cardholder Solutions, and Bill Payment.Prior to assuming this new role, Mr. Peirez was the chief payment system integrity officer for MasterCard. He led the MasterCard payment system security and compliance functions, overseeing Fraud Management, Security and Risk Services, Global Product and Information Security, Compliance and Chargeback Management, PCI, SecureCode and other e-commerce security programs.Mr. Peirez previously served as group executive, Global Public Policy and Associate General Counsel for MasterCard, responsible for integrated legal support, as well as the Security and Risk, and Franchise Management areas. He had global responsibility for the Public Policy, Consumer Education, Regulatory Strategy and Legislative Affairs functions. He also served as counsel and secretary to MasterCards U.S. Region Advisory Board of Directors. Previously, Mr. Peirez managed Legal Services for MasterCard Advisors and the Debit, Credit, Corporate and Information Products groups worldwide. He also built the MasterCard Compliance function focusing on AML, Privacy, FCPA and OFAC compliance worldwide.Before joining MasterCard in 2000, Mr. Peirez was an associate at Clifford Chance Rogers and Wells focusing on antitrust litigation.Mr. Peirez is an active member of the American Corporate Counsel Association. He earned a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School, where he received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award in Criminal Law and Comparative Constitutional Law. Mr. Peirez served as Executive Research Editor and as a member of the Executive Board for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Policy Analysis, Economic and Government Studies from Cornell University. Mr. Peirez has served on the Federal Reserve Board's Consumer Advisory Council and the Board of Directors for the Westchester County Association. In 2004, he was named to the Rising Stars - Westchester's 40 Under 40 list, recognizing those who exemplify leadership, foresight and a vision for the future in their chosen fields under the age of 40. Neil Marcous is the division executive of Payment Network Solutions at FIS and president of NYCE Payments Network, LLC, an FIS company. In his role, Marcous is responsible for ensuring that FIS delivers leading-edge payment solutions as well as executing the strategic vision for NYCE, AFFN, SUM and Everlink, while supporting FIS’ combined network goals for growth and market leadership. Marcous manages the growth of nationwide and international access of NYCE to thousands of financial institutions throughout the U.S. and the international financial community. The NYCE Network is a leading provider of electronic payments through innovative product offerings, including Internet and mobile payments solutions. The NYCE Network currently supports more than 3000 participants, 360,000 ATMs, over 2 million POS locations and more than 1,400 billers across the U.S. NYCE has a growing base of international relationships, which include Canada, China, Korea and the UK. Prior to joining FIS, Marcous held leadership positions in the financial services and EFT network industry for more than 30 years. Marcous has served as a member of the board of directors for various public and private companies, including the Electronic Funds Transfer Association (EFTA), Bisys Group, the Armed Forces Financial Network (AFFN), House Account funding (HAF) and Everlink. He holds degrees in finance and economics from Bowling Green University.
Craig Tieken, vice president of merchant product management, oversees First Datas suite of credit acceptance, debit acceptance, Fleet Card acceptance and ATM reseller product offerings. Tieken has been with First Data since mid-1991, when he joined as a Merchant Services client executive helping merchant customers understand how to use the First Data product suite to grow their merchant business. Since then, he has held increasingly senior roles in First Data corporate conversions, financial institutions, platform consolidations and merchant product management. For the past five years, Tieken has held the position of VP of product management, adding an increasing number of core acquiring products to First Datas portfolio. Current products include Visa and MasterCard credit and check card acceptance, private label credit acceptance, PIN debit, PIN-less debit, EBT and eWIC debit acceptance, Fleet Card, and merchant ATM provisioning. Most recently, he has added transaction processing security to his set of responsibilities, tasked with building out First Datas solution to reduce the merchants cardholder data environment and significantly reduce the opportunity for a merchant to experience a data breach.
Robert McMillon is director of Solution Development for the joint partnership between First Data and RSA at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. Robert has extensive experience in security strategy, corporate governance, business process transformation and product development. He has presented at many professional and industry conferences as well as instructed classes at a public university.
