Thayer was appointed to the Board of Directors of MainSource Financial Group (NASDAQ: MSFG) and MainSource Bank in July 2011. MainSource is a $2.9 billion banking institution with 83 branch locations located in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky. He was named Chairman of the American Association of Bank Directors in 2007. The AABD is the national non-profit organization dedicated to serving the information, education and advocacy needs of financial institution directors. The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) invited Thayer to be a founding board member of NACD Florida in 2005. He served as a member of the Independent Directors Committee (IDC) until CogenAmerica's acquisition by Calpine Corporation in December 1999. The IDC was given full control of the acquisition process. Thayer served on the Board of Directors of Sunbeam Corporation (NYSE) from 1990 until 1997. In January 1993 he was elected Chairman/CEO of Sunbeam, providing interim management until the election of a new CEO in August 1993. John A. Thayer had a twenty-year career in commercial banking prior to organizing Chartwell Capital in 1990. As Executive Vice President of PNC Financial (NYSE), Pittsburgh, he had management responsibility for finance, merger and acquisitions, investor relations, strategic planning, and he served as Chairman of PNC Securities Corp, PNC's capital markets subsidiary. Prior to its acquisition by PNC in 1986, Thayer served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Citizens Fidelity (NASDAQ), Kentucky's largest banking institution. Thayer is the author of “It Is What It Is” the book describing the recapitalization of AmericanWest Bank in 2010 and numerous articles for a variety of banking publications.
Barry N. Winslow returned to TCF Financial Corporation as Vice Chairman in July 2008 and assumed responsibility for TCFs Corporate Development function in 2012. Mr. Winslow previously served as Chief Risk Officer overseeing Credit Administration, Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management. He retired from TCF in 2007 after serving as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Winslow joined TCF in 1987.Prior to joining TCF, Mr. Winslow was with Huntington National Bank, his last position as Senior Vice President. Mr. Winslow received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Ohio State University, and he is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking. He serves on the Board of the Minnesota Military Appreciation Fund and Sit Mutual Funds.
Arvind Thapar is a Banking and Financial Markets Analytics Solutions Leader at IBM with over 18 years of experience of working in technology organizations for Banking firms and IBM Business Partners. He spent the first 14 years of his career in banking working for First National Bank of Omaha where he was Vice President and CTO in the enterprise technology division, responsible for analysis, design, evaluation, integration, operation, maintenance and management of a variety of infrastructure and application technologies. After FNB, Mr. Thapar worked at Sirius Computer Solutions, one of the largest IBM Buisness Partners world wide, as an IT Architect, and helped drive revenue in the financial, health care and industrial sectors. Mr. Thapar defined the cloud go to market strategy for various Sirius clients, and introduced them to the concept of providing Analytics As A Services. Arvind joined IBM in 2011 to help drive sales and revenue in the financial services sector, as well as cross platform analytics based solutions, with a strong focus towards banking and financial markets
