Jon Forbes was appointed to the role of Colorado Deputy Treasurer by Walker R. Stapleton, Treasurer of Colorado on January 12, 2015. Prior to joining the State, Jon spent the last 25 years in the public finance arena, holding executive positions at Prudential Securities, UBS, J.P. Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in addition to starting his career as an analyst with Bear, Stearns. In addition to his time in investment banking, he also served for two years in the New Jersey Treasurer’s Office of Public Finance as a Project Manager coordinating many of the State’s financings as well as spending three years with Dubois Brown and Company (DBC) developing software for the municipal finance sector.Jon moved to Denver from New York City in the summer of 2005 and is a 5-year Denver Broncos season ticket holder (Go Broncos!). He currently resides in Conifer, Colorado, a small (population 20,000), mountain town 45 minutes outside of Denver.
