    Alexis “Allie” Grassie is a Director with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) in the newly created Data Management Group, a ground breaking department focused almost entirely on improving information quality and availability for the business, rather than focusing on the technical aspects of data.Her main responsibilities include creating policies, processes and standards that will create, enhance and maintain data quality and integrity for CIBC data.She also serves as the liaison for the Data Management Group’s communication and outreach strategy, which includes internal stakeholder engagement and marketing as well as participation in national and international financial data and trade associations. She has worked closely with the EDM Council, a financial industry-focused semantics and data organization.Her current project, Central Client Management is a client domain master data management initiative that will assist in the management and monitoring of the bank’s risk.Prior to joining CIBC, Allie worked in a number of progressive positions in the healthcare informatics industry, most notably with Toronto’s University Health Network’s (UHN) Shared Information Services, where as Manager of Enterprise Data Warehousing, Databases and Business Intelligence she oversaw a team who undertook the implementation of the UHN’s first business intelligence tool. In her tenure at UHN, Allie guided the implementation of the BI tool, creation of an enterprise wide balanced scorecard, and creation of a new financial reporting data mart and analysis area, as well as increasing the Data Warehouse information holdings through various integrations by almost a half terabyte a year!Allie has been involved in standards for many years, beginning with her work at the Canadian Institute of Health Information (CIHI), where she created the role of eHealth Strategy Rep to facilitate CIHI’s client experience with new online reporting tools. Following her successful engagement with that team, she became the Secretariat for HL7 Canada, the Canadian arm of the international healthcare messaging standards development organization.Allie has been published or interviewed in various standards and Health Informatics spaces (Canadian EMR, HL7 Canada, SIMS Podcast, Canadian Healthcare Technology), has been on a few committees and boards (IHE Canada Board, Canada Health Infoway Steering Committee, HL7’s Rim Based Application Architecture, Marketing, Membership, Publishing), and has a fondness for presenting (HL7 Canada Conferences, IHE Canada, HL7 International, MDM Conference).When not agitating for data quality and truth, justice and the Canadian way, Allie relaxes at her home in Toronto’s Beaches, with her hubby, two teenage daughters, dogs, cats and a garden that is constantly in need of weeding.

    Laura Sousa's rich career covers information technology as executive, strategist, project/program manager and consultant. As the VP of Loyalty Program Integration, Laura leads the Canadian Tire data warehouse & analytics, MDM and Information Governance practices. A key element of CTC’s information management strategy is the development of a business-driven MDM implementation strategy that will serve as a strong foundational element to support strategic priorities including customer centric retailing. Prior to joining Canadian Tire, Laura has held senior roles in IT with Marsh Canada Ltd, a risk management and brokerage firm, Digital 4Sight, an internet research and strategy management consulting firm, and Andersen Consulting, now named Accenture, where she gained most of her technical and consulting expertise. Laura holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

    Deborah Henderson, B.Sc., MLS, PMP, CDMP is the Data Governance Practice Manager for Broadstreet Data in Toronto and is President DAMA Research and Education Foundation.  She is Program Director for the DAMA-DMBOK (Data Management Body of Knowledge) global effort on the since 2005.With over 25 years in data management, she consults in data governance in the energy,  capital markets, and automotive sectors.

    Nick Halsey is SugarCRM's chief marketing officer and executive vice president of corporate development, and manages the company's overall go-to-market strategy. Nick has over 25 years of experience in the high technology sector, and has played a leading role in the emergence of the commercial open source market. Prior to SugarCRM, Halsey served as the vice president of marketing and product management at Jaspersoft Corporation, the leading open source business intelligence company. He was a co-founder of Biz360, the leading provider of social media monitoring and market intelligence solutions that was recently acquired by Attensity Group, and also served as the founding vice president of sales and marketing for Brio Software, where over six years he lead the company to $150 million in sales and to a successful IPO. Nick also served as the CMO and executive vice president of corporate development at Alphablox, guiding it to an acquisition by IBM.
