Located in WS+B Red Bank office, Randy is the partner charged with directing the firms litigation, valuation and forensic accounting services unit. He has over 20 years of public accounting experience including business valuation, taxation, litigation support, and consulting. He has provided consultation services for various business mergers and acquisitions. This includes valuation of the entities involved, developing compensation agreements, and legal structure, as well as financial feasibility analysis. Randy has also performed all phases of litigation support including lost profits calculations, bankruptcies, forensic accounting, matrimonial accounting, wrongful death calculations, business valuations, and discovery. Randy has represented all sizes of clients from small solo practitioner professional practices to large Fortune 100 public companies. He has many years of traditional accounting experience including the taxation and reporting for closely-held businesses. Randy holds a bachelors degree in economics (with a minor in physics) from Rutgers University, NJ. He is a certified public accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), where he is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He is also a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), where he serves on the Litigation Committee at both the state level and at the Monmouth/Ocean County Chapter level. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accounting (DABFA) and is an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Randy has published numerous articles on forensic accounting, income taxes, valuation, as well as editing publications for other authors. He is a frequent speaker at various professional conferences, including the NJSCPA, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and others.
Professor Larry Gramling has been a member of the Faculty of the Accounting Department in the School of Business at the University of Connecticut in Storrs since 1980. He is the Assistant Department Head in charge of undergraduate studies. He previously taught at the University of Maryland and the University of Southern Maine. His teaching interests include Assurance Services (auditing) and Financial Accounting. Larry has been developing and presenting professional accounting seminars to CPA associations as well as to regional and local CPA firms throughout the country, for over 30 years. He is currently co-author of the highly acclaimed Professional Training for the Local Firm Level 2 staff training course. He has also consulted with various CPA firms concerning their quality control systems, including conducting peer review inspections.Larry served as President of the Connecticut Society of CPAs in 2000 2001 and served two terms on the CSCPAs Board of Governors. He recently served a 3-year term as a Connecticut representative to the AICPA Council. He has previously chaired the CSCPAs Accounting and Reporting Standards, Peer Review, Strategic Planning, and Educators committees. He has served on many other CSCPA committees including various committees on accounting and auditing regulation. He is currently serving as a trustee and chair of the CSCPAs Educational Trust Fund.Professor Gramling has published in various professional and academic journals including Issues in Accounting Education, The CPA Journal and the Connecticut CPA. In addition, Larry is currently the coordinator of the University of Connecticuts award-winning seminar Introduction to a Profession, which received the national Joint AICPA AAA Collaboration Award for the best example of collaboration between accounting practitioners and academics.Larry received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, his MBA from Northeastern University and his BS in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Scranton.
