    Michael T. Bates has served as Senior Counsel in the Wells Fargo & Company Law Department for the past sixteen years.  In this capacity, Mr. Bates provides legal advice to all consumer collection groups within Wells Fargo on all aspects of consumer collections, bankruptcy, secured transactions, real estate foreclosure and debtor/creditor remedies.  Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Mr. Bates was engaged in private practice in the Minneapolis, Minnesota law firm of Briggs and Morgan where his practice focused on commercial bankruptcy and debtor/creditor remedies. Mr. Bates is a graduate of Iowa State University and Hamline University School of Law.  Mr. Bates is currently admitted to practice law in Iowa and Minnesota and is a current member of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law, American Bankruptcy Institute and ACA International.

    Jerad Brown has over 10 years of Auto Finance experience that encompasses collections, vendor management, large call center operations, and asset disposal. Jerad has spent the last three years at Capital One Auto Finance as Director of Loss Prevention, handling the 20 Billion dollar portfolio’s Late Collections, Repossessions, Skip tracing, and Vehicle Remarketing during one of the industry’s most turbulent times. Prior to his current position, Jerad lead the entire First party Collections outsourcing program for Capital One’s auto portfolio, managing all of the 3rd party vendor sites. He was accountable for the entire network consisting of 5 sites and 600 FTE. Jerad received Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree focusing on Organizations and Strategy from the University of Texas at Dallas.

    Kim Bonn is a Director for Client Transitions for TELUS International, a BPO provider delivering contact center and IT outsourcing services across a range of industries and strategic locations � including North America, Central America, Asia and Europe. She is responsible for transitions from client pursuit to final ramp � via partnership and facilitation of Recruitment, Training, Work Force Management, Quality, Facilities, IT and Operations. Prior to joining TELUS, Kim was a Strategic Business Unit Director for Xerox Business Services managing full client relationship and performance for their outsourced Finance and Accounting functions. She also possesses experience and knowledge in the collection agency, NES, and creditor spaces � Citibank and US Bank. Kim has almost 28 years of industry experience and insight via numerous roles and assignments � Agency/Vendor Management, Partner Operations, Collections and Customer Service Operations Management, Financial Controller, Compliance VP and Human Resources Manager. She is a Steering Committee Member for the Professional Women in the Collections/Call Center Group. Kim obtained her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Northern Kentucky University and resides in Cincinnati, OH.     Ron L. Brown is the President and CEO of CSI Group in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one of the oldest and largest Recovery Investigation Agencies in the Central Plains area. Ron, a state licensed Private Investigator and member of the National Association of Fraud Investigators, has over 30 years experience in the field of locating lost and missing people and assets and has assisted many law enforcement agencies including the U.S. Marshall’s Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Texas Rangers. He is Internationally recognized as one of the leaders in the Tracing and Recovery Industry and spends much of his time acting as an instructor for ACA International, he was the “ACA Certified Instructor of the Year” for 2002 and 2004 and currently serves on the ACA Education Council. Ron also instructs for the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training and co-presents the critically acclaimed “MANHUNT” Seminar. Ron is nationally recognized as one of the key instructors of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and HIPAA. He has written many published articles on these ever-changing federal laws and continues to conduct seminars related to them. Having authored numerous articles and books on the subject of tracing and the psychology of motivation in the collection of debt his latest endeavor has been to co-author the best seller, MANHUNT: The Book. Currently active in all phases of the Recovery and Collection Industry he continues to personally handle investigations ranging from Internal Fraud to Homicide and is well known in Debt Collection, Law Enforcement and Recovery circles.

    Lawrence A. Costa is the Executive Vice President of Business Development for Capital Management Services, LP. and has held that position for 8 years during which Capital Management Services, revenue has increased from $4Million to $86 Million in annual revenues.Prior to coming to CMS, Mr. Costa held Vice President of Sales and Marketing positions in the telecommunications industry.

    Christopher Giles (39) is a senior investment professional of Värde. Mr. Giles joined Värde in 2002 as an Investment Analyst and was named Vice President in 2005. Mr. Giles co-manages Värde’s private investments in the U.S. and Canada with a focus currently on deal origination. Prior to joining Värde, from 1994 to 2002, Mr. Giles was at The Credit Store, Inc. There he served as its Director of Portfolio Management, where he specialized in the underwriting, acquisition and management of distressed consumer loan portfolios with an ongoing emphasis on establishing strategic relationships with major banking and financial institutions.Additionally, he was actively involved in the development and management of credit card asset-backed securities and other structured finance vehicles. Chris graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Finance in 1992. He also has earned his CFA designation.

    Brian Greenberg is one of the most experienced M&A and strategic advisors to the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) industry. For nearly 15 years, he has specialized in advising ARM executives and investors regarding strategy and execution in mergers and acquisitions, raising capital, and business valuation. Mr. Greenberg’s clients and relationships span all aspects of the ARM sector and include contingency collection agencies, 1st and 3rd party specialists, debt purchasers, collection law firms and networks, call centers, business process outsourcing firms, technology firms and a variety of vendors to the industry, as well as strategic and financial investors to the industry. He and his teams have completed approximately 65 ARM transactions, creating value in excess of $1.5 billion, with clients such as Sallie Mae, West Corp., H.I.G. Capital, and GE Capital, as well as with numerous privately held ARM firms. Mr. Greenberg began his M&A career with Weaver Partners, where he focused on cross-border transactions for clients worldwide. He has gone on to lead the ARM M&A practices at Kaulkin Ginsberg (1996 to 2006) and at Milestone Advisors (2006 to 2009), and in early 2009, founded Greenberg Advisors. Mr. Greenberg received a B.B.A. from George Washington University, specializing in International Business and Marketing, and served four years in the United States Air Force as a German Linguist. He serves on the Advisory Boards of ARMing Heroes (www.armingheroes.org), Collections & Credit Risk, and on the boards of a variety of other industry organizations. He is a frequent presenter at conferences in the US and abroad and is a published author and often-quoted source in the industry and national media for his views and experience in ARM.

    Eric Carlson is the Group Vice President and oversees both Real Estate Collections and the Recovery Division Operation for SunTrust Mortgage and SunTrust Bank.He is responsible for controlling delinquency in the Mortgage Portfolio, supporting the Loss Mitigation pipeline flow and mitigating losses on consumer real estate based loans such as HELOC and Home Equity Loans. As the head of the Recovery Division, Eric is responsible for integrating strategies and implementing processes to reduce losses on all loans within SunTrust. Eric also serves on the Varolii Corporation Board of Advisers. Eric joined SunTrust in April of 2008, coming from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where he led collection operations for 6 years. He started working in corporate collections as collector for Fingerhut Corporation in 1993, and worked as a corporate trainer, supervisor and A/R Analyst through 2002. Eric is a native of Minnesota and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Education from St. Cloud State University.

    With more than 18 years of client advisory services experience, Sarah has in-depth expertise across strategic, operational, analytical, and partnership formation engagements.  As a Principal of First Annapolis, she leads the Firm’s Loyalty Support practice area.  Her areas of expertise include program strategy in addition to supporting technology and financial analysis. Her clients include financial institutions, travel organizations and retailers.She has managed project teams across a wide and diverse range of initiatives. For financial institutions, she has assisted in the formulation of the overall strategic vision for enterprise-wide rewards, providing support in all phases of program development – from initial assessment through implementation.  She has worked with retailers and travel organizations preparing business case analysis on both new programs and reinvigoration of legacy programs.  Her engagements also include working with service providers seeking to assess alternative market opportunities and developing fresh strategies for maximization of capital return. Sarah has been an expert speaker at numerous conferences including Loyalty Expo and Cards & Payment Loyalty and has been published in the American Banker, Cards and Payments, Loyalty Management, the First Annapolis Navigator and Transaction World.Sarah received her M.B.A. in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Before joining First Annapolis, Sarah worked in the corporate practice area of Dow, Lohnes & Albertson, PLLC.
