    Owen Gingras joined Walmart Canada in July 2008, and was instrumental in building and launching Walmart Canada Bank and the Walmart Rewards MasterCard in 2010, including the design and implementation of a paperless point of sale application in Walmart Canada stores. In his current role Owen is responsible for the design and delivery of current and future systems needs for Walmart Canada Financial Services as well as owning business continuity and operational risk management for the bank.Prior to joining Walmart, Owen was with GE Money and held the senior role of General Manager, Credit Cards and Strategic Initiatives. Owen has been in the financial services industry since 1994, and developed his passion for systems technologies and interfaces with the re-launch of the HSBC MasterCard in Canada; building an in house credit card system platform, and planning the simultaneous de-conversion from the existing service provider. Through extensive experience in both card issuance and retail card acceptance, Owen has gained leading industry knowledge and insights into dual interface chip cards and retail terminal operations and behaviours.Owen is an active leader in the Canadian credit card community; serving as a board member of ACT Canada and is also a member of the Point of Sale and Prepaid Card Leadership teams.Owen completed the MIT Sloan Management Center for Information Technology summer session in 2012, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.

    Robert H. "Bob" Obringer has served as Senior Vice-President of Compliance and General Counsel of Phillips & Cohen Associates, Ltd. for the past 8 years and has been with the agency since 2000. Phillips & Cohen Associates, Ltd. is a multi-national collection agency with a comprehensive suite of specialty collection service offerings and offices throughout the US, UK, Canada and most recently Australia. Throughout his tenure with Phillips & Cohen Associates, he has been responsible for overseeing all contracting, legal and compliance activities. Mr. Obringer is admitted to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania, is an adjunct professor at Rosemont College and a member of the faculty of University of Phoenix where he teaches graduate and undergraduate business law and ethics. He has lectured to attorneys and accountants on collection law and ethics and is also a member of the Delaware, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law Camden and also holds a Master of Arts and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in technology management. Mr. Obringer is a member of NARCA, American Bankruptcy Institute and has been recently recognized by ACA International as a scholar and fellow.

    As Senior Vice President and General Manager, North America for The Western Union Company, Victoria López-Negrete is responsible for managing all consumer related products and services for the United States, Canada and Mexico. López-Negrete’s tenure with Western Union began in 2008 and she has held increasingly responsible roles including Vice President for U.S. Hispanic Business, Mexico and U.S. Money Transfer for Western Union, Vigo & Orlandi Valuta. López-Negrete has extensive experience from over 20 years in financial services in the United States, Mexico, Central and South America. Having worked in retail banking and payment services with a solid and successful track record. Prior to joining Western Union, López-Negrete broadened her experience while serving the U.S. Hispanic segment at López-Negrete Communications, an independent, Hispanic owned and operated, full-service agency specializing in Hispanic marketing. Among other accounts, she managed the U.S. Hispanic advertising strategy for Visa USA and Microsoft. López-Negrete also led Citibank card business for Latin America. She managed all marketing and rebranding efforts for Mexico’s Grupo Financiero Citibank, the marketing strategy forCitibank’s credit card launch in Peru, as well as for the Consumer Franchise Management group in Chile. In addition, Victoria was the General Manager for the MasterCard Office in Mexico. López-Negrete has advised several clients including Unilever, De Beers, Colgate-Palmolive, Northern Telecom, United Distiller and Grupo Maseca (Mission Foods). She also performed brand management for Gillette and Sabritas/Pepsi Food International in Mexico. Victoria has served on the Board of Directors for Latin America Visa, TSYS – Mexico and Prosa, the Mexican Banking Association and the Visa Marketing Committee in Chile. López-Negrete has a degree in Sciences of Social Communication from Anáhuac University in Mexico City, Mexico. She is fluent in English & Spanish.´ 

    Matt has 12 years experience in credit risk, modeling, forecasting and asset management. As head of GS2’s Private Loan services business he is currently overseeing $3.6B in private student loans for clients ranging across colleges and universities, hedge funds, investment banks, insurance companies and asset-backed entities. Matt also runs GS2’s debt purchasing business that makes opportunistic acquisitions of pools of charged-off student loans. Prior to joining GS2 in 2008 Matt worked for GE Capital as a Senior Risk Analyst covering HELOCs, retail credit cards and power sports where he was twice the recipient of the GE Americas Award for excellence in analytics driving profitable growth. Matt holds a BA in Economics from Macalester College and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
