Abbe Conrad is vice president, Prepaid Solutions, for First Data. In her role, she owns business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) product development for the Open Loop line of business, including the Money Network® product suite. Since joining First Data in 2004, Conrad has held several positions across the organization. Her responsibilities have included managing global training and system security for new financial service systems and serving as lead product director for the Walmart Money Network Paycard program implementation. Conrad has also held responsibility for the launch of the Open Loop merchant funds transfer settlement solution, client reporting suite, First Datas incentive card product and the Google Wallet Prepaid card. Prior to First Data, Conrad was responsible for new product development and business analytics at United Research Services Corporation (URS). She served as lead data manager for a $500 million dollar Watershed Project contract and has managed software and website development for EPA programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and computer information systems from Colorado State University. Conrad is a certified New Product Development Professional.
Miriam Alejandro is responsible for consumer prepaid financial institution channel development and account funding services. Since joining Visa in 2010, Alejandro has developed product strategies for Visa’s consumer prepaid portfolio, including general purpose reloadable, teen, college, TravelMoney, gift, and Visa ReadyLink. Alejandro has over 16 years of experience in product development, client management, and process and strategy consulting. At American Express, she was responsible for directing compliance and reengineering initiatives in the Global Prepaid Product Office. She also managed development of the gift card product in the mall and retail channels, new channel expansion, and developed the gift card special offer program strategy. As a client manager in Advisory Services, Alejandro collaborated with clients to define the strategic vision of their corporate travel programs and designed methodologies that were used throughout the professional services organization. Additionally, as a consultant with Ernst & Young, Alejandro managed the strategic development and execution of client engagements focused on process reengineering, capacity management, productivity and change management. Alejandro earned a B.A. degree in International Business Studies and French from Grove City College and holds an M.B.A from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Matt Flynn is TMG Director of Client Relations. He has been with the company for more than 11 years and works with community financial institution clients to help manage and grow their card portfolios. Matt is also responsible for other TMG sales initiatives and projects.
Jim is presently the President and Chief Operating Officer for United Recovery Systems, a family of companies headquartered in Houston Texas that specializes in the collection of consumer debt in the Banking, Medical, and Education sectors.He began his career in the collection industry in 1978. Since 1983 Jim has helped grow URS into one of the nations leading debt collection companies. He enjoys analytics and an open thinking environment that promotes team building, innovative problem solving, and process planning. Jim is passionate about customer experience, brand identity, and reputational integrity. He fully embraces the recent additional regulatory oversight. Jim believes it will create a more even playing field and further protect the integrity of the collection industry.
Scott has previously been an Associate and a Partner in Consumer Collections, as the manager of the firms Probate Group, with additional concentrations in the Commercial Banking, Commercial Business, Special Collections and Commercial/Agency Services Groups. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive collection litigation experience, managing cases of varying size and degree of difficulty.Scott earned a B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1986 and a J.D. from the University of Southern California, The Law School in 1989. A member of the California, Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, Scott is licensed in California and Ohio and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Central District of California) and the U.S. Supreme Court.Scott is currently a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi and Order-of-the-Coif. He is also a board member of Adult Guardianship Services. Scott was selected multiple years for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers (2005, 2007, 2010-2013), as well as Ohio Rising Stars (2005).
Patrick has over 20 years of credit card industry experience serving in diverse management positions within Risk Management and Marketing at several leading financial institutions. During his career, Patrick has been a leader in the development of innovative marketing solutions aimed at increasing profitable new account growth while controlling for loan loss and expense metrics. Patrick brings a unique perspective, as a leader in the credit card business, who has experienced the seismic shift from batch to real-time online account acquisitions from the lender viewpoint. Patrick has led efforts with various external suppliers, IT infrastructure, and internal business stakeholders to develop innovative platform designs to capitalize on industry trends.Before joining Barclaycard US, Patrick held senior management positions with JPMorgan Chase and Mellon Bank. He also served as an independent consultant for various industry leaders seeking to capitalize on credit card marketing trends.
In his over 15 years of experience in the distressed debt industry, Mr. Cushing has been directly involved in more than 250 portfolio acquisitions of different debt types, totaling in excess of $7.5 billion. This experience includes all aspects of debt purchases from analysis and contract negotiation to managing of the portfolios after the acquisition. Mr. Cushing is past president of the Debt Buyers Association, International, 2009-2010. Currently, Mr. Cushing is Executive Vice President of Business Development for Fourscore Resource Capital, LLC. Where along with a number of internal corporate initiatives, his major responsibilities are to expand current client relationships within the existing marketplace, create and develop strategic business partnerships, plus explore and invest in new asset classes for debt buying opportunities.Mr. Cushing graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics. Mr. Cushing became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California while employed by the certified public accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (formally known as Coopers and Lybrand).
Brian founded Pervasive Path Consulting two years ago to help companies make the most out of mobile. Leveraging his 8 years of mobility experience, as well as his 16 year background in the management consulting field, Brian has helped clients envision, plan for, implement and launch mobile solutions for customer engagement and commerce, field service, mobile supply chain, and business process enablement. In addition to his work at Pervasive Path, Brian is also teaches a course on Mobile and Social Media Strategy at Kent State University’s School of Digital Science
