Currently, he leads the Panera solution architecture for new payment technologies.�� Last fall, he led Panera�s adoption of Apple Pay into the Cafe systems Point of Sale ecosystem and also the Panera IOS App integration. Prior to joining Panera, Mr. Backer worked for MasterCard for 17 years in solution delivery roles for Dispute Processing, Loyalty systems, and Card Holder services. Mr. Backer also led the instantiation of the MasterCard Shared Services (SOA) processes as part of the Enterprise Architecture team.
