Michael Casey is a senior advisor for the Digital Currency Initiative at MIT Media Lab, where he works to build awareness and scholarship around the application of digital currencies and the underlying blockchain technology.Before joining MIT last summer, Casey was a senior columnist covering global finance at The Wall Street Journal. In a career spanning five continents, he covered currencies, bonds, equities and economic policy for The Journal, Dow Jones Newswires and various other media outlets.Casey is the author, along with his former WSJ colleague Paul Vigna, of The Age of Cryptocurrency: How Bitcoin and Digital Money are Challenging the Global Economic Order, now a leading reference on digital currencies and blockchain technology. Theresa is an Associate on the Programs Team. She conducts research to identify and analyze financial services trends and innovative products, and provides relevant, actionable insights to lead to improved consumer financial health. She is highly motivated by the opportunity to improve access to and quality of financial products and services. She believes in achieving this through a collaborative network which can create measurable, sustainable improvements in the lives of millions of people. Prior to joining CFSI, Theresa worked in nonprofit and affordable housing development at Affirmative Investments, Inc. There she worked with public and private funding sources to expand opportunities for low-income populations. Theresa earned a Master of Public Policy from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Boston College. She enjoys spending her time outside of CFSI biking, exploring Chicago and working to win her local euchre league.

Bringing over 20 years of experience to the role, Lance’s priority is to lead customer engagements to assess strategic objectives, innovation scenarios, key improvement opportunities and other sources of incremental economic value.Prior to joining SAP, he spent over 20 years in the banking and finance industry working for industry leaders like JP Morgan Chase and PNC. Most recently Lance served as the Virtual and Digital Client Experience Manager for Associated Bank were he was instrumental in the startup of the virtual banking and digital client experience division. Lance’s experience in banking includes executive management roles in retail, contact center, corporate, mortgage, and wealth management.Lance is married to his wife Caryn of 18 years and lives in Northeast Ohio. He is very active in his community mainly through coaching his children Dominic and Isabelle’s athletic teams.Lance holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio, an MBA in Finance from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as being a graduate of the Consumer Bankers Associates Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Philip Rowan is the international lead at the Financial Conduct Authority’s Project Innovate, which works to promote innovation and competition in financial services to the benefit of consumers through making the regulatory system more innovation-friendly.�Prior to this Philip was a senior economist in the FCA’s Chief Economist's Department, focused primarily on promoting competition in UK financial markets. Philip has also worked at the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor and the UK's Competition and Markets Authority.�Philip holds an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and studied Economics at the University of Warwick and the Sorbonne in Paris.�
Brad leads Acxiom’s Financial Services Strategy & Analytics Practice, which helps banks and payments companies drive growth through customer-focused marketing strategies, analytics, and capability improvements.� Previously Brad was a partner with Ernst & Young Consulting and a vice president with MasterCard.
Angus is a Senior Manager in EY’s Financial Services Office where he leads the firm’s distributed infrastructure strategy for the financial services industry.� In his role, Angus brings together global teams to deliver engagements and develop services and thought leadership on blockchain and related technologies for financial services clients. In addition to institutional clients, Angus has advised a number of startups, regulators, governments, and is a frequent speaker at conferences internationally.� Angus has published numerous articles and performed regular interviews for industry media, specializing in the practical implementation of distributed infrastructure innovations and the development of new business models in the financial sector and beyond.
