Evans, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CGEIT, senior managing consultant with IBM Security Services, assists healthcare organizations in building regulatory compliant information security programs. With over 20 years of combined experience in healthcare IT management, consulting and information security, Brian previously served in the role of Information Security Officer at the University of Alabama Birmingham Health System, New York Hospital Queens, Fletcher Allen Healthcare, Atlantic Health and the Ohio State University Health System. He also led the Incident Response and Computer Forensic Investigations teams for Nationwide Insurance and was Vice President, IT Risk Management at KeyBank and JPMorgan Chase. Brian held IT management positions at the Ohio Department of Health and started his career as a medic in the U.S. Air Force. He has earned a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Maryland.

Zachary Landman, MD, is the chief medical officer for DoctorBase, a leading developer of scalable mobile health solutions, patient portals and patient engagement software. He earned his medical degree from UCSF School of Medicine and as a resident surgeon at Harvard Orthopaedics, he covered Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is a frequent author and speaker on the topics of patient engagement, mobile health, and patient portals. 

John Showalter, M.D., is a board certified internal medicine physician and is currently the chief medical information officer at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His interests include quality improvement and intelligent use of technology, and he blogs about innovating health care through clinical knowledge management at CKM Beat.

Schooler joined Orlando Health in October 2001 as Vice President\/Chief Information Officer. His current areas of responsibility include Information Technology, Telecommunications, Clinical Informatics, BioMedical Engineering, Supply Chain, Retail Pharmacy and a Group Purchasing Organization. Prior to joining Orlando Health, he was the Vice President and CIO for Central Georgia Health System. From 1991 to 1994, Rick served as Director of Systems Integration for the Methodist Hospital of Indiana. His previous employers also include Ameritech, General Dynamics, and Computer Systems Corporation. \n\nRick earned his Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis and his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Technology from Purdue University. \n\nRick is a member of the following professional organizations: American College of Healthcare Executives (Fellow), College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (Fellow and former Board Member) and the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (Senior Member.)\n\nRick serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Regional Health Information Organization (co-Founder and Vice Chairman) and recently served on the Board of Directors for the Health Care Center for the Homeless (Chairman – Orlando). He is also a member of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Purdue University College of Technology (department of Computer and Information Technology,) the KLAS CIO Advisory Board, the Healthcare Informatics magazine Editorial Board and the University of Central Florida Regional Extension Center (REC) advisory board.
