Previously he was a leader in the Intuit Corporate Strategy team focused on the deep analysis of the small business market and defined the long-term strategic opportunities to serve small businesses.     As Managing Director of HNW’s Retail Banking Practice, Leslie Paladin serves as a retail marketing strategist to the firm’s financial services client base. She provides strategic counsel concerning business development, data analysis, interpreting consumer research and client segmentation. Specifically, Leslie supports clients with affluent client acquisition, portfolio growth, client satisfaction and loyalty enhancements. From a classical marketing perspective, she consults on branding and positioning, product development and integrated marketing campaigns.Before coming to HNW, Leslie was responsible for building the mass affluent retail client segment at Citigroup, which included repositioning the Citigold brand. She was also at the forefront of deposit product marketing for various retail customer segments at Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan Chase). Leslie began her career working in brand management working at various companies including Procter & Gamble, Bristol Myers-Squibb and Revlon International. She graduated from the University of Missouri–Columbia with a BA in journalism.

    David has spent more than 30 years in the financial services industry. He began his career on the front line as a teller and customer service representative at the Bank of Boston. After a year he was selected to join the management training program at BayBank Harvard Trust in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was during a rotation through the marketing department that he was introduced to the discipline where he would spend the rest of his career. As marketing officer for the bank, David was responsible for Advertising, promotion, public relations and location analysis. It was during this time that the first ATMs were introduced and much of his energy was devoted to introducing consumers to this new technology. David left BayBank in 1984 to join Shawmut Bank in Boston where he led product development for electronic products. It was there that he launched the first personal and small business online banking product when the technology was in its infancy. In 1989, David left Shawmut to join Fidelity Investments in Boston. During his ten year tenure at Fidelity, David held a variety of positions including product development, distribution marketing and sales management. While at Fidelity, David was responsible for introducing Fidelity’s first open platform which allowed customers to buy non-Fidelity funds. He was also responsible for developing and launching the company’s first active trader brokerage service.David left Fidelity to join Dreyfus in New York as Chief Marketing Officer. While at Dreyfus, he was responsible for all aspects of marketing including strategy, communications, research and database marketing for the retail and institutional businesses. In 1998, David left the corporate world to join Sullivan, a small communications strategy and design firm where he was a partner and served as and financial services practice lead. While at Sullivan, David served as strategist and consultant to some of the country’s top financial services companies including Fidelity, MetLife, JPMorgan Chase, Ameriprise Financial, T. Rowe Price and OppenheimerFunds.David is currently Managing Director of Citigold Wealth Management where he serves as affluent segment manager. He is responsible for strategy, offer development, client experience and marketing of Citi’s products and services targeting affluent and high net worth clients.David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University and his MBA from Boston University.

    Laura leads social media strategy for American Express OPEN, the company’s small business division. For the past two years, Laura has played a critical role in elevating the OPEN brand by developing the strategy and implementing the launch of OPEN’s social communities on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Using her passion for community-based marketing, Laura and her team support OPEN’s mission of helping small businesses do more business through a number of innovative social programs like Big Break for Small Business, the first ever B2B partnership with Facebook, aimed to teach business owners how to run their business using social media. Under her leadership, the first annual Small Business Saturday launched in 2010 and expanded in year 2 with an in-depth set digital resources for small businesses including the “Merchant Toolkit”, and partnerships with FedEx, Verizon and other companies. Through her efforts, Laura was integral in mobilizing more than 100 million consumers to “shop small” on Small Business Saturday. Laura has been a valuable member of the American Express marketing team since 1999. Prior to her work with American Express, Laura honed her finance acumen working at Goldman Sachs. She also took off 2 years from American Express, in 2006 – 2007, and joined the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker as a professional poker player. She also holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.

    Michele Elrod joined Regions in 1984 and provides strategic marketing direction and management as the Head of Marketing for Regions. Regions is a top U.S. bank-holding company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with $117 billion in assets, operating over 1,700 banking offices and 2,000 ATMs in 16 states across the South, Midwest and Texas.,Before serving in her current position, Michele held a number of management roles in strategic marketing and sales training for AmSouth and Regions Banks, and was the Marketing Director for The First National Bank of Tuskaloosa.     Nancy Jones is the chief marketing officer for Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz). Jones is responsible for product innovation, marketing, and corporate communications. In this role she manages the company’s product strategy and development for its fixed annuity, variable annuity, and life insurance products. Her team leads brand management, marketing, and promotions of products and solutions through Allianz distributors and ultimately to the end consumer. In addition, Jones oversees public relations, internal communications, charitable giving, and the meeting and events services department. Prior to joining Allianz in 2008, Jones served as senior vice president of client experience and marketing operations at Ameriprise Financial. She also held several senior roles at American Express in the traditional financial advisory business, as well as developing new direct and online businesses. Her career in the financial services industry spans more than 20 years with roles in business strategy, product development, distribution channel management, and marketing.Originally from Edina, MN, Jones has a BBA in financial management from Southern Methodist University and an MBA in marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and FINRA Series 7 and 24 securities registrations. Jones is active in the community and serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Orchestra.     Mark J. Grescovich is President and Chief Executive Officer, and a director, of Banner Corporation and Banner Bank. Mr. Grescovich joined Banner in April 2010 as President and became Chief Executive Officer in August 2010 following an extensive banking career specializing in finance, credit administration and risk management.     Mr. McGuire has 22+ years of financial services experience, most recently assuming responsibility for RBC’s Canadian Banking digital presence. As Vice-President, Digital Strategy & Experience, McGuire has overall responsibility for creating a seamless client experience across RBC’s public and secure websites as well as mobile applications across the Banking, Investments and Insurance businesses.Mr. McGuire has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. Prior to his current role, he was President & CEO, RBC Direct Investing Inc. (RBC’s Discount Brokerage division), managed RBC Royal Bank’s North American and Caribbean ATM network; held various roles in RBC Royal Bank’s Card Services Business Unit, acting as Controller for the business in his last position and before that as Financial Advisor to the Merchant & POS division. Mr. McGuire worked as a Sales Manager with Royal Direct, the Bank’s telephone banking group and had various assignments in Human Resources and Operations after starting his career in RBC Royal Bank’s branch network as Manager, Customer Service.
