    Michael Shepherd is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of the West and of BancWest Corporation, the parent company of Bank of the West and First Hawaiian Bank. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Retail Banking.Shepherd was President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of the West from 2008-2010, having served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2006. In April 2009, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of BancWest Corporation. Shepherd joined the bank in 2004 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel.Before joining Bank of the West, Shepherd served as General Counsel of The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and of Shawmut National Corporation. He was a partner in the San Francisco law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP and Special Counsel to Sullivan & Cromwell. Shepherd also served in government as Senior Deputy Comptroller of the Currency, Associate Counsel to the President of the United States and Deputy Assistant Attorney General. In addition to serving as Chairman of Bank of the West and BancWest Corporation, Shepherd is a director of First Hawaiian Bank, Pacific Mutual Holding Company, Pacific Life Insurance Company and Promontory Interfinancial Network and is a member of the Advisory Board of FTV Capital. He is active in community affairs, including current service as a Member of the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Board, Member of the FDIC Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion, Director of Operation HOPE, Member of the Executive Committee of the Bay Area Council, Member of the Stanford Athletic Board and Director of the Financial Services Roundtable. Shepherd served as a Director of the Presidio Trust from May 2008 to July 2012. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Shepherd is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Michigan Law School.

He consults with clients on crafting insight-based and data-driven solutions to customer and human capital problems.� He also helps clients align their systems, teams and cultures to make the most effective use of analytics and insights.� Sean has extensive experience in analytics and predictive modelling for customer experience, marketing, and human resources, in a variety of fields including financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, and B2B.Prior to joining Gallup, Sean was Senior Vice President of Client Analytics at a major bank, where he led projects on customer experience, sales process optimization, and modelling.� Sean received his bachelor�s degree in political science from the University of Tennessee.� He received his PhD in political science from the Ohio State University, where he taught statistics and political science for six years.� Afterward, he worked for several consulting firms, developing new applications for text- and data-mining, creating analytics for clients, and consulting on maximizing their utility for the organization. �

    Alan Gellman is Senior Vice President, Head of Digital Marketing, for Wells Fargo’s Digital Channels Group. The Digital Marketing team is responsible for third-party advertising, including display, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, mobile and social. Previously, Alan led strategy, research and analytics for Wells Fargo’s Consumer Credit Group, where he helped design Wells Fargo’s “Smarter Credit” offering and established a customer engagement strategy with a new measurement capability. He also was responsible for leading a team across seven lines of business in developing a debt management strategy and program. In addition, he led a cross-enterprise team in evolving a share of credit strategy that identified billions of dollars of opportunity across lines of business.During his eight-year career at Wells Fargo, Alan has established a strong record of cross-functional leadership delivering consistent success in key business metrics.Before joining Wells Fargo Alan built and led the E-Business division at Blue Shield of California, launching portals for consumers, providers, employers and brokers, and winning both customers and awards in the process.He began his career in consumer packaged goods for such companies as Kraft, General Foods and ConAgra, where he drove volume and profit growth in businesses like Hunt’s Snack Pack and Breyers Ice Cream.He has a B.A. in International Relations from University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon School. He lives in Oakland, California with his wife and two children and loves cycling in the Bay Area hills.
